Daniel Benson known professionally and popularly as Bujutoyourears or Buju for short was born in 1997, he is a
Nigerian Afro-fusion singer, songwriter, and record producer.

He is popularly known for been featured in fellow Nigerian artist Ladipoe ‘s single, titled ‘Feeling’.

•Early Life.

Buju was born on May 19, 1997 in Lagos, Nigeria, however he originally hails from Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

The artist was raised in the Gbagada area of Lagos, before his family eventually moved to Ogun State afterward.

Buju lost his mother to the deadly disease cancer and that had been an encouraging point for him to work harder and achieve his dreams.

At first, He started as a rapper and eventually he ended up joining the choir. With time, he began performing solo at valedictory services and carried his passion on to the university.

For a while, he stopped involving in music, as he kept comparing his musical skills to other talented people and kept on feeling that they were better than him in some way. Buju ever since his rise to limelight has been entertaining his followers with hit songs back to back.

•Career.

The artist developed passion for the music career at a very early age. The artist had adopted the name Drizzle while he was in Junior secondary school before he later changed it to Buju.

The artist disclosed that he was inspired by other amazing music influences from the likes of J His, Buju Banton, Burna Boy, Damian Marley, and so on.

In Feburary 2016, He came through with his first single which was titled “Catch a Vibe” and this song was immediately also followed up with another record titled “A Day in Lagos”.

The artist got signed to Spaceship records on April 16, 2020, a record label where the sensational and Afro-beat Nigerian music star, African gaint Burna Boy is known for.

His single “Lenu” alongside Burna Boy made the artist gained more exposure and fame after the remix..

The talented artist/singer was also able to released his EP, which was titled “To Your Ears”, in 2019. He got more exposure after been featured on Ladipoe’s single “Feeling”.

Ever since Buju rose to limelight, he has been able to release lots of hit singles back to back and he has collaborated with top artist like Amaarae and Blaqbonez.

Furthermore, his song “Outside” has been able to receive massive airplay on different streaming platforms across the globe.

Buju is a talented singer, and in years to come would be tripping with numerous awards and nominations. Buju won the Rookie award at the City People Entertainment Awards (2020).
