Barry Jhay Early life.

Oluwakayode Blessing Junior Balogun by his birth name but known populaly and professionally known by his stage name. He coined his stage name, Barry
Jhay, from his father’s name.

Barry jhay simply stands for “Barrister junior”His genre was mainly hip hop and afro rage.He sings and speak mainly english, yoruba and pidgin. Barry Jhay was born on February 13, 1993(29 years of age) in the inner cities of Ibadan Oyo State, a state in south west part of Nigeria predominately occupied mainly by the Yorubas.

His father is the famous Fuji singer, Sikiru Ololade Ayinde Balogun, known professionally as Ayinde Balogun.Barry Jhay grew up together with his parents together with his siblings in Oyo State, where he completed his
primary and secondary school education.

He did not further his education into the tertiary school because of his outmost love for music production and sound engineering.

Early music career.

Due to his unique vocals, talent, creativity, he made a very quick impression in the music platform and setting his tone among the top of its kind. According to different sources, Barry Jhay started recording music since he was at the age of 5. In his early days, he would plead with his father to let him record. He even told his father that he would become a musician just like him.

Time has passed since his father passed away, Barry made a vow to continue what his father started and was forced to keep up his father’s legend cause he couldn’t let his
father’s name fade.

Yes, Barry jhay did not come from a music oriented family, Although his father was a famous fuji singer. He grew so found music so fond of it that he could not further his education to the university.

Moving on Barry Jhay rose to fame on the released for “Aiye”, a hip-hop song he released in 2018. He was also known for “Most Promising Act of the Year” .This song brought him up from grass to grace. It brought him some many awards and nominations like “The Headies Award for Best Street-Hop Artiste”2018 that time.

At early March 2021, Barry Jhay was arrested in Ghana.News broke on Sunday, March 7, 2021 that Karshy Gordon, the ceo of CashNation Entertainment committed suicide by jumping from a balcony in Ghana.Before that incident ” Barry Jhay
and Karshy were seen having a fight in Ghana over accounts and other label-related issues in Ghana.

When the argument got over heated, Karshy gave Barry Jhay a punch landing straight to his mouth, Barry Jhay confirmed this when he released a video of his injured mouth on social media.
“See the way this guy beat me, ” were the exact words he said in Pidgin English. “I didn’t do anything, I was only recording. I’m done with Kash entertainment industry.A man named Rina, who is a friend and brother of Karshy had offered some of his own perspective on his whatsapp handle from kashy phone where a text was thar he was threatening to kill Barry.

Because of that In accordance to the police he is involved with the death of his label boss, Kashy Godson. A week later after the unforgettable incident, he was
declared innocent by the Ghanaian Police Force after thorough investigations.
